Toy Library Coming to Pittsfield's Onota LakeBy Brittany Polito, iBerkshires Staff

 PITTSFIELD, Mass. — A Wahconah High senior plans to build a toy library at Onota Lake Beach to foster community and benefit kids.
On Tuesday, the Park Commission supported Alexandra Bills' toy library proposal as part of her National Honors Society individual service project. She hopes to see it come to fruition by April, utilizing donated materials and the help of her father for construction.
"I wanted to create a toy library like the other examples in Berkshire County from the sled library to the book libraries," she explained. "But I wanted to make it toys for Onota Lake because a lot of kids forget their toys or some kids can't afford

 PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Crosby Elementary School is staged for a statement of interest that could open a revamped campus in 2029 as part of larger plans to restructure the district, Superintendent Joseph Curtis on Wednesday presented the details of a potential SOI to the Massachusetts School Building Authority for the elementary school that would combine Conte Community School and Crosby onto one campus with two buildings and shared facilities.
"We are cautious and saying if everything moves along as we would hope that we have the potential opening of a new school facility on the Crosby site in 2029," he said.

PITTSFIELD, Mass — 2nd Street will host the Community Health Programs (CHP) Mobile Health unit on Wednesday, February 28 from 1-3 pm. CHP's Mobile Health teams offer the same services as a primary care provider or typical urgent care clinic, making it an excellent alternative for people with transportation challenges. Participants do not have to be a CHP patient to use this service. In most cases, the visit will be covered by the individual's insurance. I've had many people ask for my opinion regarding the situation. Phone has been non-stop notifications, tags, and texts since the announcement. I have worked at Wahconah Park since I became an adult. I have been to nearly every game at the ballpark except for 3: senior prom, my wedding (still ended up there), and my son's godparents' wedding. I am the longest-tenured broadcaster in FCBL history and Wahconah Park's history. I'd wager I have seen the ballpark more than any other person since 2011. I know the ballpark. I also know it's flaws.
