Wahconah Names Valedictorian, Salutatorian for Senior Class02:34PM / Saturday, June 04, 2022 | | DALTON, Mass. — Quinn R. Walton and Juliane C. Keiper have been named valedictorian and salutatorian, respectively, for the 2022 graduating class at Wahconah Regional High School. Both students will speak at graduation ceremonies on Sunday, June 5 at 1 p.m. in the school gymnasium. The valedictory speech is titled "Bravery, Put Simply" and the salutatory address "A Comeback Story." Walton is the daughter of Todd and Melinda Walton, both of Hinsdale. Her academic program included Honors and Advanced Placement coursework. She is active in the many service projects sponsored by the National Honor Society and is president of the Wahconah chapter. Kayden Lovallo, president of the class of 2022, will be joined by student-elected class speakers Molly Sherman, president of the Student Council President, and Ethan Callahan. These three students represent the voice of this year's senior class who have worked diligently through a challenging school year. Pittsfield Man Indicted on 48 Counts in Alleged Steel Building Scam 08:14AM / Friday, June 03, 2022 | | PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Fred Senter, 40, is accused of contracting and accepting down payments from more than 40 victims to build steel structures with no intent to complete the work as owner of Northern Steel Building and Structure, LLC. Senter allegedly stole more than $400,000 through false pretenses, and Senter allegedly operated the scam in five states between February 2020 and September 2021.
