Pittsfield Police Investigating Congress Street Shooting12:18PM / Monday, May 23, 2022 | | PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Police are investigating a Congress Street shooting that left a city man with life-threatening injuries. On Saturday May 21 at approximately 10:45 PM, Pittsfield Police Patrol Units responded to house on Congress Street for a reported shooting victim. According to police, officers found a 24 year old man suffering from a gunshot wound, and they began rendering aid. Pittsfield Fire Department and County Ambulance responded to the scene and provided medical aid prior to transporting the victim to BMC with life threatening injuries. Next, the city will advertise it to the community to solicit feedback. Kinney, Grout Win Steel Rail Races Marathon06:34PM / Sunday, May 22, 2022 | | PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Lenox's Sarah Kinney and New York's Derek Grout Sunday were the winners of the Steel Rail Races marathon. Kinney finished in a time of 3 hours, 42.11 seconds to place fifth overall. Grout of Lebanon Springs, N.Y., was the first marathoner across the finish line, clocking a time of 3:08:51, 11 minutes ahead of runner-up Teddy Millot of Oradell, N.J. There were stretchers, all-terrain vehicles, rescue vehicles, and emergency personnel working to get the young people to safety from the scene — a plane crash deep in the woods.
