Teenager Shot In Pittsfield Sunday Night

PITTSFIELD, Mass. — A teenager was hospitalized after being shot on Franco Terrace.   Police responded to the area at about 5:30 p.m. to find the 15-year-old man suffering from what appeared to be a non-life threatening gunshot wound. Emergency medical technicians transported him to Berkshire Medical Center where he is currently being treated.   Police are asking for anybody with information regarding the incident to contact the detective bureau at 413-448-9705, through the drug tips hotline at 413-448-9708, or by texting PITTIP and your message to TIP411 (847411).

Two Arrested In Armed Robbery Of Pittsfield Shop

PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Two city residents were arrested for allegedly robbing Angelina's Sub Shop on West Housatonic Street while armed Friday evening.   Police say Jameial Beckett, 35, and Ivelisse Ruusukallio, 37, both of Pittsfield are facing charges of armed robbery while masked relating to the robbery. Beckett is being held on $7,500 bail while Ruusukallio is being held on $2,500. Berkshires Impacted By Sporadic 911 Outage

PITTSFIELD, Mass. — The 911 system has been sporadically out of commission statewide on Friday and affecting most of Berkshire County.   The Massachusetts State Police released a statement shortly before 7 a.m. encouraging residents to call their local public safety departments directly instead of using the emergency reporting system. The issue was affecting both cellular and landline service.   "A nationwide outage affecting CenturyLink, an internet communications company, is impacting wireless 911 call capability in various parts of the country," reads the statement from state police.   Shortly after 1:30, MSP released an update

  33, of North Adams pleaded guilty to a single count of possession of cocaine with intent to distribute.   He was placed on probation for one year. The charge stems from a motor vehicle stop in North Adams on January 18, 2018.     35, of Pittsfield had not guilty pleas entered on his behalf on single counts of assault and battery on a correctional officer, assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon, and assault and battery on a disabled person.   He was ordered to be held at the Hampshire County House of Correction on $2,500 bail. Pittsfield Police Investigating Armed Robbery Of Family Dollar

PITTSFIELD, Mass. — The Family Dollar on North Street was robbed at gunpoint Tuesday night.    Police say at about 4:05 p.m. the robbery was reported. An individual described as being a black man wearing a dark-colored trench coat, hooded sweatshirt, sunglasses, and possibly a wig, showed a gun to the clerk at the registered and demanded money.    The man took an undisclosed amount of cash and then fled the store and was last seen running toward the rear of Advanced Auto Parts. Officers attempted to track the individual.   No one was injured during the robbery and Police are now conducting an investigation including reviewing video
