UPDATED: Third Man Charged In Robbins Avenue Murder

PITTSFIELD, Mass. - The third suspect in last Monday's stabbing on Robbins Avenue turned himself in to authorities.   Jason Sefton, 20, of Pittsfield was arrested at about 9:30 a.m. on Monday when he turned himself in response to a warrant being issued for his arrest. Sefton entered a not guilty plea on a single count of murder.   Judge Jennifer Tyne ordered that he be held at the Berkshire County House of Correction without bail.    Sefton is accused of being one of three suspected in the stabbing that killed 34-year-old William Catalano on Robbins Avenue. Bruce Romano, 28, and Anthony Boone, 22, were previously arrested and charged

Adams Woman Charged in Fatal Hit & Run

PITTSFIELD, Mass. — An Adams woman has been charged in the hit-and-run accident last month that resulted in the death 38-year-old Jerome "Jeremy" Berard.   Debra M. Milesi, 57, of Jordan St. was arraigned in Northern Berkshire District Court on Monday afternoon on single counts of leaving the scene of a personal injury accident resulting in death, of motor vehicle homicide while under the influence of alcohol and of negligent operation of a motor vehicle.    Berard, of North Adams, was found laying on the side of East Hoosac Street in Adams around 1:30 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 29. Pittsfield Car Rolls Over In Driveway, Hits Neighboring Building

PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Police and fire responded to a somewhat unique accident Monday afternoon.   In the driveway of a Columbus Avenue multi-family apartment building was an overturned Subaru, leaning on the neighbor's home.   There were no injuries as the woman operating the vehicle got out with only minor bumps and scratches.   According to those on the scene, the operator was driving into the driveway and hit stairs leading to one of the apartments.   The vehicle then rolled, coming to a stop on its roof, and leaning on the neighboring building.   A wrecker had to navigate the narrow driveway

No Injuries Reported After Police Fire Weapons During Search

Noble Avenue was closed for most of the day on Friday. PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Police officers shot at a man while executing a search warrant on West Housatonic Street on Friday morning but there were no injuries.   According to the district attorney's office, while the Berkshire Law Enforcement Task Force executed a search warrant relating to drug activity, 23-year-old Marcel Teixeira-Ingram Jr. was seen pointing a handgun at officers.   29, of Marcy, N.Y. was found guilty on three counts of rape and a single count of kidnapping.   He was ordered to be held without bail at the Berkshire County House of Correction until sentencing. On Tuesday, September 25, Harding was sentenced to concurrent eight to 18 to 20 years at the Massachusetts Correctional Institution at Cedar Junction on the rape charge. He was given eight to 10 years on the kidnapping charge. Those sentences will begin after he completes any time he is currently serving in the state of New York.     , 58, had a not guilty plea entered on his behalf on a fugitive of justice charge.   Court
