PITTSFIELD PARENTING WITH POSITIVE DISCIPLINE
Pittsfield, 5:30 to 7 p.m.
Pittsfield Parenting with Positive Discipline FREE 8-week Parenting Series. Wednesdays, February 21st to April 11, 2018 5:30-7:30 pm. At the First Baptist Church, 88 South Street, Pittsfield, MA. For families with children ages 2-6 years old. This practical class teaches parents the positive discipline approach. Parents will learn how to teach their children to develop; self-discipline, responsibility, cooperation and problem solving skills. The Positive Discipline approach has been proven to be helpful in everyday parenting.   This series includes; a free weekly meal for parents and children, free on-site child care and transportation if needed. ‘ESCAPE ROOM Z'
Williamstown, 11 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.
Milne Public Library in Williamstown will be hosting “Escape Room Z.” Teams of four to six players will search for clues and solve puzzles in order to find the final solution and save the world. There are two sessions planned, one at 11 a.m. and one at 5:30 p.m. Pizza will be served at the end of each session. This free event is designed for teens ages 13-17 and registration is required. JACK AND THE BEANSTALK WITH NAPPY'S PUPPETS
Pittsfield, 11 a.m.
Join Nappy’s Puppets at the Berkshire Museum and follow Jack’s famous adventures based on the Appalachian folk tales collected by Richard Chase, including Jack be Nimble, Jack Horner, Big Jack and Little Jack, and the popular Jack and the Beanstalk. With songs and stories and well over 80 handcrafted shadow puppets, Jack and the Beanstalk utilizes the ancient art of shadow puppetry in a new and innovative way; the puppeteer was featured on the popular television program Between the Lions, among others. Tickets are $15 for adults and $8 for children.

FAMILY FUN DAY - LET'S SKATE!

Vietnam Veterans Memorial Skating Rink The Northern Berkshire Community Coalition and the City of North Adams is hosting FREE ice skating for all families with children living in Northern Berkshire (Adams, Cheshire, Clarksburg, Florida, North Adams, Savoy, Williamstown). RECORDS AND BURPEE ZOO SHOW

The Zoo Show is coming back to Berkshire Museum. Meet live animals from the Records and Burpee Zoo and learn about their adaptations, how they survive in the wild, and the consequences of keeping wild animals as pets. The cost is $15 for adults and $8 for children.

'TOP BANANAS'

Nutshell Playhouse will present a fantasy filled performance of visual and musical delights, with special guests Annie Anaconda the singing snake, Engelburt, the morphing storyteller, Zesty with her singing saw, tap dancing by Nemonee, a motley crew of instruments played by Donut, brand spanking new songs, and as always, our usual abundance of frolicsome shenanigans. Performed by Berkshire County actors Stefanie Lynx Weber, Maizy Broderick Scarpa and Mark Hohlstein with live music by Don Jordan, the show will be held at the Lenox Community Center, 65 Walker St., and is free.

'THE FROG PRINCE'

The popular puppeteer Carl Sprague will return to Ventfort Hall Mansion and Gilded Age Museum in Lenox to charm all ages with the classic fairytale “The Frog Prince” by the Brothers Grimm. The audiences will have the opportunity to meet this wizard, who knows how to pull strings, over punch and cookies. Admission to the show is $15 per person, $7 for children 4 to 12 and free for ages 3 and under. Children must be accompanied by adults. Seating is limited; for reservations, call 413-637-3206.

ANIMAL TRACKS IN WINTER
North Adams, 2-3:30 p.m.
The North Adams Public Library will host a reading of "Big Tracks, Little Tracks" by Millicent E. Selsam accompanied by a lesson about identifying animal tracks in winter. While staying indoors, Mariah from Berkshire Natural Resources Council will help guests take a closer look at the footprints we might find in the snow. Each child will make their own tacking cast to take home.
