GIRL SCOUT DAISY REGISTRATION
Dalton, 6-7 p.m.
The Girl Scouts of Central & Western Massachusetts will hold a free “Daisy Girl Scouts Launch Party” at the Dalton Free Public Library, 462 Main St. Girls currently in Pre-K and Kindergarten will complete a fun activity to earn their first patch while parents/guardians learn how Girl Scouts builds girls of courage, confidence, and character and how to form a Daisy troop. Farm Friends, a Hancock Shaker Village program designed for children ages 2-5 and their caregivers, will be held Thursdays. Each week, children meet a farm animal, enjoy a story, and make a simple craft. This program is included with admission (free to members).

Dalton Preschool will host an open house in its classroom space within the Dalton CRA building, at 400 Main St. Parents and their prospective preschool students, (ages 2 years, 9 months, through 5 years old), interested in obtaining information about Dalton Preschool's program and touring the classroom are invited to drop In. Open-play activities and Applications for the 2019/2020 academic year will be available.

A family movie matinee will be held in Katie's Korner at the Lenox Library. Popcorn and drinks provided. The film is free and all ages are welcome. Movies will be G or PG.

Hancock Shaker Villages introduces a new program, Calf Cuddling, on Sundays. Sixty-minute sessions for up to two people are $100. Registration is required online or by calling 413-443-0188. Learn about the farm at Hancock Shaker Village and the sensitive and intuitive nature of cows while petting, brushing and walking the village’s newest additions. This wellness trend is the village’s most recent addition to animal-centric holistic health programs, such as goat yoga. Sessions are recommended for those ages 5 and older. The weekly program continues through Nov. 10.

CHILD ID & TOUCH-A-TRUCK
Pittsfield, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Come on down to a Child ID and Touch A Truck Event being put on at the Pittsfield Church of Christ located at 826 Valentine Road in Pittsfield. We are putting this event on to bring awareness about Operation Bridges and the community outreach efforts of the Pittsfield Police to the community. Child ID: We are bringing in more computers and more helpers this year to allow as many children as possible to go through the Child ID. We have Western Mass Masonic Youth Child Identification Program, Massachusetts 30th Masonic District, Berkshire Lodge, Williams Masonic Lodge, Lafayette-Greylock Lodge, North Adams, MA., 31 Masonic District Of Massachusetts, New Moon Lodge, Evening Star Lodge and more all helping out with the Masonic Youth Child Identification Program. The Masonic Youth Child Identification Program (myCHIP) will be putting on a Child ID Program free to interested parents, this program includes the following: VIDEOTAPE: A brief video interview that can be quickly distributed to the media in order to reach a huge audience. FINGERPRINTING: Fingerprinting is a well-known means of identification. Resourceful parents keep fingerprints available should the need arise. CHEEK SWAB: A Q-tip is gently rubbed on the inside of a child’s cheek to gather DNA material. MATTHEW NOBLE DAY
Sheffield, 11 a.m. - 3 p.m.
The Sheffield Historical Society welcomes the community on June 8th for Matthew Noble Day. This free event to be held from 11am to 3 pm will be a day of food, fun and history. Enjoy complimentary BBQ, ice cream and drinks as you play games of yore and learn about Sheffield history through activities and tours of the historic buildings and museums. Kids of all ages will be challenged to fill out their “history passport” as they visit each game and educational station. A completed passport will be rewarded with an ice-cream sundae as a prize. The games are fun for adults too! The Sheffield Historical Society is located at 159 Main St. in Sheffield. Please park in the municipal lot which is adjacent to the event. Goat yoga classes will be held at Hancock Shaker Village, led by certified yoga instructor Alison Walter. Tickets are $25 and include admission to Hancock Shaker Village. Register online or call 413-443-0188. Beginners are welcome; bring a mat or a towel. Classes take place in a fenced-in pasture adjacent to the Round Stone Barn. About 15 goats roam the pasture during the class. Goat yoga classes are ideal for adults and for responsible children ages 6 and up. The class is intended to be a meditative experience. Children are welcome to visit the baby animals in the Round Stone Barn’s Dairy Ell after the class.
