NEEDLE FELTING WORKSHOP / SANTA

SATURDAY MUSIC JAM SESSION
Pittsfield, 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
Berkshire Community College, in collaboration with Wood Brothers Music, is offering a number of ongoing Music Jam Sessions. The initial sessions will be held Saturdays, Oct. 28, Nov. 18 and Dec. 16. The remaining sessions will be held the fourth Saturday of each month starting Jan. 27 at Wood Brothers Music in the Allendale Shopping Center in Pittsfield. Sessions, instructed by Musician David Hodge, are $40 per class. The course is designed for players who know the basic chords of the guitar, ukulele, banjo and other fretted instruments. THE WHISKEY TREATY ROAD SHOW

The Whiskey Treaty Road Show is a hugely captivating collaborative band that brings together five MA singer-songwriters to perform Americana, Rock and Roots-FOld in the name of brotherhood, music, and spritis. The band is Tory Hanna, Billy Keane, David Taklefsky, Greg Smith and Chris Merenda. Between them they have recorded 18 albums, both on their own and with other bands. LESSONS & CAROLS AT THE SOUTHFIELD CHURCH

The gift of music continues at the Southfield Church as our ecumenical community choir presents our annual Christmas Eve service, A Festival of Lessons & Carols. The service begins promptly at 7:00 with a rousing ringing of the old bell and lasts approximately one hour. A Lessons & Carols service is a simple service consisting of nine scripture verses (or lessons) followed by a carol sung by the choir and occasionally the congregation. The choir’s carol arrangements span from the traditional, such as “Silent Night” sung by candlelight, to the jazz influenced “Still, Still, Still” reminiscent of the sound of the jazz vocal group, The Singers Unlimited. Everyone in the community is invited. Perfect for all ages.
