HOLIDAY SHINDY
Pittsfield, 11 a.m .- 4 p.m.
Shire City Sanctuary will again host Holiday Shindy, featuring more than 60 artisan vendors, yummy food, warm drinks, and live music. Live music will be performed throughout the event. An Angel Tree will be on site for the duration of the Shindy. Admission is $3 for the general public. Children under the age of 12 are free. Admission fees will help fuel the promotions and use of the lovely Shire City Sanctuary. Shire City Sanctuary is located at 40 Melville St.

SANTA TO VISIT GOODWILL
Pittsfield, 1-3 p.m.
Santa Claus is taking time out from his busy holiday schedule to bring extra cheer to families who visit Goodwill in Pittsfield, 457 Dalton Ave. Kids who come to Goodwill to meet Santa will receive free candy and gifts. There is no charge.

COMMUNITY PRESERVATION COMMITTEE HEARING
Pittsfield, 6 p.m.
The Community Preservation Committee has scheduled a public hearing in City Hall for comments related to the use of Community Preservation Act funds and the draft Community Preservation Plan. The committee will provide a progress update and share highlights of the draft Community Preservation Plan prior to public comment.  Public input will be incorporated into the final version of the plan, which is expected to be finalized in January.

SATURDAY MUSIC JAM SESSION
Pittsfield, 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
Berkshire Community College, in collaboration with Wood Brothers Music, is offering a number of ongoing Music Jam Sessions. The initial sessions will be held Saturdays, Oct. 28, Nov. 18 and Dec. 16. The remaining sessions will be held the fourth Saturday of each month starting Jan. 27 at Wood Brothers Music in the Allendale Shopping Center in Pittsfield. Sessions, instructed by Musician David Hodge, are $40 per class. The course is designed for players who know the basic chords of the guitar, ukulele, banjo and other fretted instruments.
