PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Judith Ann Brunelle, 75, of 9 Robert St., Pittsfield, died Tuesday, February 28, 2017, at Berkshire Medical Center.
She was born on September 10, 1941, in Springfield, Mass., the daughter of the late Raymond J. and Agnes R. Meagher Brunelle.
Judy was part of the Berkshire County Arc family since October, 1973. She worked for six years for the former Berkshire County Savings Bank, followed by Blue Q in Pittsfield, and lastly at Berkshire Ivy Gardens in Williamstown. For years she attended the Center for Development in Lee, where she was loved by everyone.
Judy's love for animals was eminent in her life and she loved to collect "Barbie" dolls. In her free time she would visit the Humane Society, where she was able to show her love for cats and puppies.
Judy is survived by several cousins in the Springfield area. Judy built special friendship with Kathy Kelly, Martha Panagopoulos, and Christine Ferrari, to whom she became very close to. She was also cared for and loved by past and present staff at Robert St and CFD. Her presence will be irreplaceable to her housemates Anna, Antoinette, Diane, and Betty who loved her dearly.
Funeral notice: Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 8, 2017, at 11 a.m. at the Dery Funeral Home, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield, with Rev. Peter A Gregory officiating. Burial will be Thursday, March 9, 2017, at 11 a.m. in St. Michael's Cemetery in Springfield.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to BC Arc. or the Berkshire Humane Society in care of the funeral home.
