Dorothy Cetti, 89

PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Dorothy D. (Nykorchuck) Cetti, 89, died Sunday January 7, 2018, at Springside Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center.



Born in Pittsfield on July 9, 1928, the daughter of Mark and Tatiana (Sokolowsky) Nykorchuck, she was educated in Pittsfield schools and graduated from Pittsfield High School in 1946. Mrs. Cetti was a homemaker. She worked a short time at the BCC Book Store and part time for Diet Workshop.



Mrs. Cetti was a communicant of St. Charles Church. Her husband Albert J. Cetti, died November 17, 2004. They were married August 30, 1947, at St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church in Pittsfield.



Mrs. Cetti leaves two daughters, Nancy A. Zaorski (Chester) and Kathy A. Hermanski (James); seven grandchildren, Alissa Weigand (Shaun), Laura Groves (Christopher), Sarah Hermanski, Jeffrey Hermanski (Kristin Tatro), Jodi Hermanski, Ashley Errichetto (Steven), and Lindsay Hermanski; and six great-grandchildren, Mya Corkins, Sophia-Marie Groves, Kailynne Errichetto, Dilana Hermanski, Trever Kostyun and Chloe Errichetto.



She was predeceased by two sisters, Mary Dmytryshyn and Anna Roviaro; and three brothers, John, William and Nicholas Nykorchuck.



Mrs. Cetti’s family would like to thank the staff at Home Instead Senior Care, especially Judy Tobler, the BMC Emergency Room, BMC Fourth Floor – Telemetry, and the Springside Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center, for the excellent care and compassion given to their mother.



Funeral notice: Per Dorothy’s wishes, funeral services were private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her name to the Berkshire Humane Society, 214 Barker Road, Pittsfield, MA 01201, and St. Jude's Children’s Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
