PITTSFIELD, Mass. — John Peter Pasini, 88, formerly of 54 Demont Ave., Pittsfield, passed away May 8, 2018, at Mt. Greylock Extended Care Facility.



Born August 4, 1929, he was the son of the late Battista and Mary Fauistini Pasini Inga. John attended St. Mary's School from 1942-1943 and then went on to graduate from Lee High School in 1947.



He married the late Theresa Marusarz on June 24, 1950, and was predeceased by her on September 4, 1998.



He was employed by Pittsfield A&P on Elm Street, was a manager at Lanesboro Package Store for 20 years, and worked at Liquors Inc in Pittsfield, until his retirement in 1998.



A communicant of St. Charles Church, he enjoyed hiking in the Berkshires, foreging, doing crosswords and loved spending time with his family.



He leaves his son, David M. Pasini of Pittsfield; his daughters, Diane Taylor of Pittsfield and Theresa Davis and her husband Morgan of Hinsdale; his sister Mamie Pelletier of Lee; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.



Besides his wife, he was predeceased by his daughter Dawn Marie McElveen; and his brother Eugene Pasini.



Funeral notice: Funeral services for Mr. Pasini will be held Saturday, May 12, 2018, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. at St. Charles Church. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Lee.



Calling hours will be held Friday May 11, 2018, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Dery Funeral Home, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to BNRC in care of the funeral home.
