Paul F. Pettibone Jr., 67

PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Paul F. Pettibone Jr., 67, of Pittsfield, Mass., passed away January 6, 2019, at Berkshire Medical Center. He was surrounded by his family and friends.



Born on April 18, 1951, in Pittsfield, the son of Elizabeth Houghtlin Pettibone and the late Paul F. Pettibone Sr., he was a lifelong resident of Pittsfield. He attended Pittsfield Schools.



He was known for his sense of humor and love for his family. He touched many lives in his community while he worked at Thee Arcade on East Street until it closed and also at his own business, Special Occasion Balloons, which he operated for 35 years. He was a member of the Salvation Army.



He leaves behind his mother, Elizabeth; a daughter, Tanya Pettibone and her former husband, Richie Lewis; son Jonathan Pettibone and his companion Sonya Kenney; his sisters, Jean Brookman and her husband Glenn and Linda Hall and her husband Charles, all of Pittsfield; seven grandchildren, Austin, Mackenzie, Noah, Jasmyn, Anthony, Abrianna and Rylie; and many nieces, nephews, and other family members.



He was predeceased by his father in November 2018.



Funeral notice: Funeral services for Mr. Pettibone will be held, Saturday, January 12, 2019, at noon at The Salvation Army, 298 West Street, Pittsfield. Calling hours will precede the service from 11 a.m. to noon. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Tonya Pettibone in care of Dery Funeral Home, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield, MA 01201, to help the family defray funeral expenses.
