NORTH ADAMS, Mass.— MCLA senior guard and Taconic High School graduate Quentin Gittens has been named the MASCAC Player of the Week for the third time in four weeks. Gittens averaged 30.5 points, 8.5 rebounds, four assists, 1.5 steals, and 1.5 blocks in a 2-0 week for the Trailblazers. PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- The Infield Berkshire Baseball Academy is offering winter vacation day camps for baseball and softball players aged 8 to 12. The baseball camp will run from 9 a.m. to noon on Feb. 19 and 20. The softball camp is 9 a.m. to noon on Feb. 21 and 22. The cost is $50 per day. The camp will focus on basic offense and defense skills. Campers are asked to bring a snack, indoor shoes, glove and bat.  NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- Eathan Joseph had a double-double Wednesday for the Eagle Hill basketball team in a 60-45 win over Berkshire Arts and Technology Charter. Joseph scored 19 points, grabbed 12 rebounds and blocked a couple of shots for Eagle Hill, which used a 26-6 third quarter to break open a five-point game. The Wolf Pack got 17 points and 10 rebounds from Samseedy Touray and 15 points from Jsaun Griffin. Touray scored four straight points late in the first quarter to give the hosts a 13-8 lead before Eagle Hill scored on back-to-back possessions to cut it to a one-point game at the end of the period.
