PITTSFIELD, Mass. — The Department of Community Development's Recreation Program has announced a new program called "Just for Kicks."

The city will collaborate with the Pittsfield Soccer Club to offer this new free program which features instructors from Sports Domain Academy, introducing and teaching youth the basics of soccer including the components, rules, and etiquette.

Just for Kicks will be a weeklong program, July 30 to Aug. 3, for Pittsfield children ages 5 to 11. The program will run from 9 to noon that Monday through Friday at the First Street Common.

Advance registration is strongly encouraged. Forms are available at the city clerk's office in room 103 of City Hall or here.

First organized more than a decade ago, and incorporated as a 501c3 nonprofit in 2008, the Pittsfield Soccer Club's mission is to provide high quality soccer education to local youths.

Sports Domain Academy, formerly known as Ashley's Soccer Camp, is based out of Montclair, N.J., and coordinates a variety of specialized soccer instructional camps.
