PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Individuals age 16 or older who want to prepare for the HiSET high school equivalency exam (formerly GED), earn an Adult Diploma. learn or improve English for speakers of other languages (ESOL), or work on basic skills in reading, writing and math can register for free classes at the Pittsfield Adult Learning Center.
Registration for the free adult education classes and support services will be held Sept. 3 and 4h from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 5 to 7 p.m. and Sept. 5 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Pittsfield Adult Learning Center in downtown Pittsfield, 141 North Street, Suite 4.
Classes begin Sept. 8 at the center, which is open from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Fridays.
The Center also offers free education and career advising, individualized attention, flexible hours, a Distance Learning program, basic computer literacy, an Adult Career Pathways program, and workplace readiness skills.
