PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Goodwill of the Berkshires will offer two job readiness workshops.
Goodwill’s next GoodWorks Soft Skills workshop will begin on Feb. 6. The six-week program is offered on location at Mildred Elley, 100 West St, Pittsfield. Classes will be held each Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Students will invest in a foundation of life skills for long-term work success. This interactive, peer-to-peer facilitated workshop covers topics such as organization and decision making skills, customer service, self advocacy, team building, and time management with a focus on dependability, job seeking and job retention.
"Business 101: Spot-On-Cleaning" is a 15-week-long custodial training program. The next course will begin Feb 16. This unique training program, held at the Job Skill Building Maker Space at Goodwill, 158 Tyler St, Pittsfield, provides hands-on training of the ins-and-outs of all aspects of a business enterprise. Program participants learn the business of custodial cleaning and put their skills into action providing cleaning services at RSVP, the Ralph J. Froio Senior Center and/or Goodwill retail stores.
