Goodwill to Host Job Skills Workshops

PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Goodwill’s next GoodWorks Soft Skills workshop will begin on April 17.

The six-week program is offered on location at Head Start, 1 Meadow Lane, Pittsfield. Classes will be held each Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Students will invest in a foundation of life skills for long-term work success. This interactive, peer-to-peer facilitated workshop covers topics such as organization and decision making skills, customer service, self advocacy, team building, and time management with a focus on dependability, job seeking and job retention.

On Monday, April 6, the Retail Associate training programs starts at the Goodwill Maker Space training center at 158 Tyler St, Pittsfield. Classes run Monday thru Thursday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. for two and a half weeks.

Ongoing job skill building at the Maker Space include warehouse logistics, Suit Yourself and recycling processing.
