DALTON, Mass. – Wahconah Regional High School Apollonian Players will present "9 to 5: The Musical" this weekend.

Performances will be at 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 9, and at 7:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, April 10 and 11. Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for students and seniors and will be available at the door or at O'Laughlin's Pharmacy on Main Street.

Set in 1979,  the musical follows the story of three women who become tired of working in an office for an overbearing, male-chauvinist boss. When they decide to take things into their own hands and make some changes to their office routines, bedlam ensues.

The three women are played by Catie May, as Violet, Samantha Coté as Judy and Rachel Burgess as Doralee. Mr. Hart, the boss, is played by Cullen Fisher and Roz, his assistant, is by Jamie Downer.

The cast is rounded out with Joe Dinofrio, Abby White, Grace Pugh, Sarah Bachli, Mitchell Beauchamp, Selena Shilling, Haley Sickell, Zach Turner, Mikel Lamont, Colette Basilière, Jenna Topping and Faith Pudlo.

The cast is "a wonderful, talented, friendly, hard-working, dedicated, sweet group of team players," said director Pamela Fortlage-Gold.

Those involved in the production believe you need to go see the spring musical because, "'9 to 5' is a look back at that time in history when the world was opening its doors to women in non-traditional jobs and workplaces," she said. "And this show gets you there in a crazy, funny way. Great music and dancing keeps the audience engaged and nostalgic."
