PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Two local eateries will participating in the next round of Berkshire Humane Society's Restaurant Challenge.
Patrick's Pub and Panera Bread will be hosting "Dine & Donate" evenings to support BHS by contributing 20 percent from the bill of each contributing diner to help the homeless animals of Berkshire County.
Tell your server at Patrick's Pub that you're there to support BHS on Monday, June 8, from 4:30 to 10:30 p.m. Bring in a flier available from BHS (or download it here) to Panera on Thursday, June 11, from 4 to 9 p.m.
The Restaurant Challenge is a new addition to the society's annual Woofstock celebration. Throughout the month of June, several restaurants will be participating in Dine & Donate benefits. Flavours' Tavern at the A will be holding a cocktail party with appetizers, music and dancing from 7:30 to midnight on Friday, June 19. Tickets are $20 and available at BHS, Flavours and Tavern on the A.
The 20th annual Woofstock will takes place Sunday, June 28, at the Common on First Street. Registration forms for the 1.5-mile walk can be picked up at the shelter, Purradise and Catwalk in Great Barrington, and at local veterinarians and pet supply stores, or downloaded from the website.
Each person who raises $500 in pledges will be invited to lunch with Steve Caporizzo, Woofstock's honorary chairman.
