Few voters made it to the polls for the annual town election.

LANESBOROUGH, Mass. — Sheila Hebert and PJ Pannesco both won write-in campaigns to join the School Committee.

Leading up to Tuesday's election, no one submitted nomination papers for the two seats — one for one year and one for three years — which comprise a majority of the three-member committee.

The one-year seat, won by former School Committee member Sheila Hebert finishes out the term of Robert Barton, who resigned. Pannesco won a three-year seat previously held by Jim Morarity.

Board of Selectmen Chairman John Goerlach won re-election easily over challenger Thomas Mierzewski by a margin of 187-51. Goerlach was also written in as a cemetery trustee. Mierzewski did, however, win a five-year seat on the Planning Board, which was the seat held by Chairman John Friend. Mierzewski was also elected to a three-year seat on the Sewer Commission.

Stephen Wentworth won election to the Finance Committee after serving on the board by appointment to fill the seat left by William Stevens. His elected seat is now for three years.

Rob Reilly was re-elected as moderator and Anne Pasko was elected as a library trustee.

While Mierzewski may have been elected to the Sewer Commission, voters also approved changing the positions from elected to appointed. Voters approved doing the same with the tree warden position.
