WALTHAM, Mass. -- Three days into round robin play at the Bay State Games, the West squad has a 2-1 record after Wednesday's 10-8 win over Coastal.

 

West trailed, 6-3, in the fourh before exploding for seven runs. Northampton's John Ferrara started he rally with a lead-off double.

 

The West team features six players from Berkshire County.

 

West is part of a four-way tie for first place in the six-team tournament.

 

On Thursday, it takes on Metro (1-2) at 11:30 a.m. at Brandeis University.
