PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- After five innings at Deming Field on Thursday, the game was called as the Westfield 13-year-old all-stars led 9-7 over Pittsfield in the Babe Ruth District Tournament.

 

Pittsfield held a lead after the second inning 6-3, but after the top of the third Westfield brought in four runs to take a lead it held until the game was called due to darkness.

 

Westfield added three more runs in the top of the fourth, in the second half of the inning, Pittsfield had a RBI single to put them down two runs.

 

The game will resume Saturday at 3 p.m. at Deming Field.
