GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. -- Three pitchers on the Pittsfield American League 12-year-old Little League team combined for a no-hitter Tuesday evening against Great Barrington for a 13-1 victory in an elimination game of the District 1 Tournament.
Christian Marchbanks started on the mound for the designated visitors, pitching two and half innings, Shane Bernardo and Andrew Watkins each pitched one in the four innings played at Olympia Meadow Little League Field.
Pittsfield rallied in the top of the second, bringing in 11 runs, two of which were home runs from Bo Bramer and Marchbanks. Bramer's brought in two runs, making it 7-0, Marchbanks brought in one making it 9-0.
Three more runs were scored from Pittsfield in the top of the third; another home run from Bramer and a run each from London Steinman and Leo Arace.
Great Barrington added a run in the bottom of the third with an RBI from Mike Pectal after Jackson Smith walked and stole second and third base.
Pittsfield went 1-2-3 in the bottom of the fourth to leave the final score at 13-1.
Pittsfield AL will play Pittsfield National League Wednesday evening at 5:30 p.m. A win by the NL will give it the District title. If the AL wins, it will force a deciding game in the double-elimination tournament on Thursday.
