JENSEN BEACH, Fla., -- The Berkshire Force scored four runs in the third inning to erase a 2-0 deficit on the way to an 8-3 win over Madison, N.C.
Britney Perkett went 3-for-4 with two runs scored, and Haley Tobin went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI.
Elena Cerveira drove in two with a 2-for-4 day at the plate for the Force, which improved to 5-3 at the tournament.
Giuliana Pierce went the distance in the circle, pitching around three errors and allowing no earned runs.
Earlier on Wednesday, Berkshire defeated the host Jensen Beach White, 6-3, in a game continued from Tuesday evening.
Toni Satrape went 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI, and Emily Koldys went 2-for-2 in that win.
Giuliana Pierece earned the win in the circle with relief from Ashley Keegan.
Later on Wednesday afternoon, defensive miscues cost Berkshire in a three-run first inning for Kinnelon, N.J., which went on to a 4-1 win.
Isabella Aitken scored the lone Berkshire run, and Perkett went 2-for-3 in the loss.
Keegan and Pierece combined to allow one earned run in seven innings.
