PITTSFIELD, Mass. — The CYC and Pittsfield Family YMCA are now accepting registrations for a new Flag Football league. League dates are Mondays, Sept. 14-Oct. 12 for boys and girls ages 5-8 years.

Flag Football provides young players a fun and exciting opportunity to engage in non-contact, continuous action while learning lessons in teamwork and sportsmanship. Players will learn basic principles such as throwing, catching and running. Flag Football provides a fun, positive experience for children through on-the-field instruction.

League dates are Mondays, Sept. 14-Oct. 12, for boys and girls ages 5-8 years. All games will be played at St. Marks School, 400 Columbus Ave. Volunteer coaches are also needed. Please note your interest in becoming a volunteer coach on the registration form.

The cost of the league is $25 for Y members and $70 for non-members. A YMCA youth membership is $36/year. Financial assistance is available to those who qualify. Register at the Y, 292 North St. or at the Gladys Allen Brigham Community Center, 165 East St., every Tuesday, or at Downtown Pittsfield’s 3rd Thursday.
