Miss Hall's School Student-Athletes Earn All-Star Spots

PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Five Miss Hall’s School student-athletes have received all-star recognitions for their performances during the fall sports season.
 
Juniors Diamond Best, of Danvers and Sally Nason, of Lee, were named all-stars for the Women’s Western New England Prep School Soccer Association, while senior Paige Alcala, of Saudi Arabia, and juniors Simone Brown, of Pelham, N.Y., and Mikala L'Hote, of Pittsfield, were named all-stars for the Western New England Prep School Volleyball Association.
 
Best and Nason, both three-year varsity soccer starters for the Hurricanes, were key offensive veterans for the squad. Best, a three-sport varsity athlete at MHS, tallied six goals and eight assists and anchored midfield for the Hurricanes. Nason, a two-sport varsity athlete making her second soccer all-star team, led the Hurricanes with 26 goals and tallied seven assists from the striker’s position.
 
Alcala, Brown, and L'Hote all served as captains for the MHS varsity volleyball team, which finished 10-5 overall (7-1 in Class C) and made the New England Preparatory School Athletic Council playoffs for the fifth time in seven seasons. Alcala, a two-sport varsity athlete at MHS, played the defensive specialist libero position and recorded 247 digs, 29 aces, and 17 kills in her second varsity season. Brown, a three-year varsity starter playing setter/outside hitter, recorded 90 kills, 87 assists, and 73 aces, while L'Hote, also a three-year starter playing setter/hitter, tallied 108 assists, 87 kills, and 68 aces for MHS.
