PITTSFIELD, Mass. - The Boys & Girls Club of the Berkshires have several upcoming activities and events.
Coach Butler is offering basketball clinics over the holiday break. All clinics are Monday-Wednesday, Dec. 28-30 only, and the cost is $5 per day per player. Signup is not required. The schedule is as follows:
* 9-10 a.m.: Kindergarten and First Grade Boys & Girls
* 10-11:30 a.m.: Second and Third Grade Boys
*11:30 a.m.-12:45 p.m.: Second and Third Grade Girls
* 12:45-2 p.m.: Fourth and Fifth Grade Girls
* 2-3:30 p.m.: Fourth and Fifth Grade Boys
In addition, the club will hold a middle school dance from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 28, at the club's "Pit." Admission is $5.
Also, public skating hours will be held from 1-3 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, Dec. 28-30, as well as every Saturday and Sunday from 2 to 3:45 p.m. unless otherwise posted. The cost for children is $6 without a membership and $4 with a membership. The cost for adults is $6 ice skate rental and $3 per session.
In the new year, a Girls Lacrosse Learn to Play Clinic will be held Thursdays starting Jan. 7 from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Morningside School gym. Email jmurray11@yahoo.com to reserve a spot; there is no cost.
Also, the monthly farmers market continues the second Saturday of the month from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. through April in The Lighthouse. The market features pasture-raised meats, eggs, cheese, fruits, vegetables, breads, baked goods, coffee, art, and more. Hot coffee and healthy breakfast and lunch options will also be available.
