WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. Pittsfield's Aimee Boulais and Williamstown's Abby Coleman earned gold medals in figure skating at the Bay State Winter Games this weekend at Lansing Chapman Rink.
Boulais won the juvenile girls test track group 2 division of the U.S. Figure Skating-sanctioned competition, defeating seven other girls in her class.
Coleman won the five-competitor novice ladies test track group.
Pownal, Vt.'s, Lara Shore-Sheppard tied for first place in the adult silver ladies free skating competition.
The skating component of the games took place over the course of three days starting Friday morning.
Other area competitors to medal included: Pittsfield's Brook VanBramer and Hinsdale's Katie Malone-Smith.
In the master's hockey competition at North Adams' Peter W. Foote Vietnam Veterans Memorial Rink, the Teddy Bears defeated the Olde Crabs, 3-2, in Sunday's champonship game.
