The Friends of the Berkshire Athenaeum will hold its spring book sale beginning with a members-only sale on Thursday from 4-8pm. New members are welcome to join at the door. Friday and Saturday hours are 10am-4pm and all are welcome to shop.

Free poetry workshop for ages 13-19 with New York poet Thomas Fucaloro. Open to all experience levels. If possible, bring poetry-in-progress with you: your writing journal, a poem you recently scrawled out, or an old poem you're not sure if you like. The Open Mic event afterwards features Thomas Fucaloro plus members of the WXW Teen Poetry Slam Team.

The fundraiser will include soup tastings from over 20 local restaurants and culinary programs, along with music, appetizers, desserts, a cash bar, raffles, and more.
 
Enjoy lobster bisque, maple bacon, potato chowder, chili, chicken orzo, and others. Several meatless soups will be offered, as well as a gluten-free vegetable option.
 
Proceeds from this benefit will help provide direct donations to soup kitchens and food pantries across the county.

On March 11th and 25th, Dottie's will host Burlesque Life Drawing sessions. Draw and post a piece or two on the wall before you leave. All art will be for sale and all sales will go directly to the Elizabeth Freeman Center. We have limited supplies (some boards, crayons and newsprint pads), so feel free to bring your own.

The 2016 Oscar nominee sheds light on the consequences of entering war - for soldiers, civilians, and families.
