The Lucky 5 is a hard-swinging jazz band that blends swing and gypsy jazz to create a unique, foot-stomping blend of music that appeals to a wide range of music lovers. The group performs original compositions as well as puts a new spin on old jazz standards. The Lucky 5 is comprised of seasoned touring musicians who have been part of The Hunger Mountain Boys and Lauren Ambrose & The Leisure Class, and have traveled, performed and recorded with artists such as Peter Gabriel, Tony Bennett, Neko Case and Del McCoury, just to name a few. The Jewish Federation of the Berkshires presents "Crane Paper Mills: The Inner Workings from the 19th century to Today" with Peter Hopkins, director of Crane Museum of Papermaking in Dalton. Hopkins will discuss the mills and their historic impact on this region. Hopkins has been associated with the company for almost 30 years. He is keeper of the family archives, and is more than happy to share what you may not know about this company whose products are cherished around the world. Free.
