NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts will offer three information sessions this month, including one in Pittsfield, in the Silvio O. Conte Federal Building. Two additional information sessions, which also will include tours of the campus, will be held at MCLA.

The next information session will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 10, at 5 p.m. in the Silvio O. Conte Federal Building, 78 Center St., Pittsfield. Information sessions and opportunities to tour the MCLA campus also will be held on Saturday, Aug. 13, and Saturday, Aug. 27, beginning at 11 a.m. in Murdock Hall room 218 on the MCLA campus.

Those interested in enrolling this fall as incoming freshmen or transfer students, as well as those who would like to complete their bachelor’s degree through our Degree Completion Program, are encouraged to attend this event.

Admissions counselors and advisers will be available to speak with those interested in attending MCLA. Students who are interested in transferring to MCLA should bring copies of transcripts from their previous institutions for an evaluation, which will expedite the admission process.

Participants will learn more about MCLA’s more than 50 programs of study, including those in the arts, athletic training, education, business, the sciences, technology and many more.

MCLA still is accepting applications for the fall semester. Classes begin on Wednesday, Sept. 7.

Through the MCLA’s Degree Completion Program, those who would like to finish their bachelor’s degree may do in as quickly as two years through classes offered one night per week. Classes incorporate both face-to-face and online instruction, and financial aid is available to those who qualify.

In addition to prior credits earned, work and life experience may be applied. Additional credits may be applied through the College Level Examination Program (CLEP).

MCLA offers three degree completion programs – a Bachelor of Science in business administration, and Bachelor of Arts degrees in interdisciplinary studies with a focus on either “leadership and business” or “children, families and society,” which is designed for early childhood educators.

Appointments may be made by calling the Office of Admission. Those who need more information and would like their questions answered over the phone should call Admissions at 413-662-5410 or go online.
