TONIGHT is Third Thursday in Downtown Pittsfield! 
 
August's 3rd Thursday will have a "Touch a Truck" theme. More than a dozen emergency, construction and military vehicles will be lining North Street between Bradford and Linden Streets. Participants include: Pittsfield Police and Fire Departments; Dalton Fire Department; Action Ambulance; County Ambulance; The Berkshire County Sheriff's Office; The United States Army and Air Force; Village Truck Sales; Tierney Construction; and Pittsfield Lawn and Tractor.
 
Misty Blues will perform at the Persip Park Mainstage from 5-8 p.m. Berkshire Highlanders and Pittsfield City Hoopla! will entertain the crowd at the Palace Park Stage. Rock On! will be playing at the Street Stage at the corner of North and School Streets. The Crowne Plaza will host live music and a chef station outside.
 
100+ vendors will be lining the half-mile stretch. Jim Horsford will be
back with demos on the pottery wheel. The miniature train rides from Roaming
Railroad are back, as is the Community Art Tent and Outdoor Chalk Art Gallery. The Pittsfield  Boys and Girls Club will host its Fun Zone. The Berkshire Museum offers free admission for Berkshire County residents during 3rd Thursday events, and The Lichtenstein Center for the Arts will remain open for the Jazz Visionsexhibit. 
 
The performances continue inside with Barrington Stage's preview of Tribes at the Boyd Quinson Mainstage and Broadway Bounty Hunter at the Blatt Center. Beauty and the Beast continues at the Colonial Theatre with a 7 p.m. performance. And, head over to Mission (no cover) and check out the Picky B's, a gathering of rotating local folk, rock and Americana musicians.
 
 
There will also be free yoga in Park Square with Regina Burgio of Berkshire Yoga, Dance & Fitness from 5:15-6:15 p.m., and free Zumba with Rachael Plaine from 6:30-7:30 p.m.
  MUSIC & NIGHTLIFE
 
Whitney Center for the Arts presents a free concert with Black Mountain Symphony, a band that has been compared to Fleetwood Mac, The Corrs and Darlingside, among others. The Whit is located at 42 Wendell Ave. 8 - 10 p.m.

Free Community Kindergarten Night at The Berkshire Museum will feature fun, hands-on activities so that children can explore what it's like to be a kindergartener, while parents and guardians learn about the registration process, child development milestones, and ways to help their child get ready for school. This special event will also feature performances, special guests, and activities for the whole family! 5:30-7:30 p.m.

SAT Farmer Olympics at Hancock Shaker Village
Greenagers presents "Go Pig or Go Home: The 2016 Farmer Olympics" at Hancock Shaker Village, on Saturday from 11 a.m.-3 p.m.
 
If you've never run a wheelbarrow race, lured a pig around a barn, stacked hay bales or taken the moo-juice squeeze challenge, now is your chance! Aspiring farmers and the farm-curious will team up to raise money for Greenagers, the Great Barrington-based nonprofit that provides outdoor jobs and environmental education programs for teens and young adults.
