FRI First Friday Artswalk in Downtown Pittsfield

Enjoy over 15 different art shows featuring work by more than three dozen accomplished regional artists in Pittsfield's bustling Upstreet Cultural District during the First Fridays Artswalk and all month long!
The Berkshire Art Association's (BAA) biennial juried show Othering opens at the Lichtenstein Center for the Arts. Othering is defined as perceiving or portraying something as fundamentally different. More than 30 artists from throughout the Northeast were juried into the show, each with a different perspective on othering.
The show runs through Saturday, November 26.
In most First Fridays Artswalk venues, artists will be present from 5 - 8 p.m. A free guided tour begins at 5 p.m. at the Intermodal Center @ BRTA, 1 Columbus Ave.

Comedian Ralphie May is back due to popular demand! He made his debut on season one of Last Comic Standing, and has since been voted one of Variety's "10 Comics to Watch," filmed record-setting comedy specials, and sold out multiple tours. In 2015, May released his first Netflix special, Unruly. The Colonial Theatre at 8 p.m. $35/$45.

Get comfy in your favorite PJs and come to the Berkshire Museum for a night of storytelling and story-listening! To celebrate Family Literacy Month in Massachusetts, the Museum will gather together authors, artists, community members, and others for a night of stories, books, and imagery. Adults will read to kids, kids will read to adults, all can enjoy a story walk, and everyone will get books to take home. FREE. 5:30-7:30 p.m.

Berkshire Running Center's early morning Cardio Strength Training class will focus on elevating the heart rate while strength training with body weight and some additional weights at times. Class size is limited, so sign up in advance. 6 a.m.

Berkshire Carousel will host a fundraiser for the carousel and the Alzheimer's Association. Paint wine glasses, ride the ponies and nibble on chocolates and snacks from 6-8 p.m. All art supplies are included in the $30 price.

This year's NAACP Freedom Fund Dinner will feature an award ceremony, dinner and dancing, along with a keynote address by Williams College's Vice President for Institutional Diversity and Equity, Leticia Haynes, Ph.D, J.D. The event will run from 6:30-11 p.m. at The ITAM Lodge, 93 Waubeek Rd.

Berkshire Film & Media Collaborative presents a one-day workshop that will cover the basic techniques of storyboarding, camera use, editing and audio, as well as how to share your movie. No previous experience in film production is needed. iPhones or iPads are required. Open to everyone 16 years and older. 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
