The 6th annual 10x10 Upstreet Arts Festival participants and locations include Barrington Stage Company, the Beacon Cinema, Berkshire Athenaeum & Berkshire Historical Society, Berkshire Art Association, Berkshire International Film Festival (BIFF), Berkshire Museum, Berkshire Running Center, Berkshire Yoga Dance & Fitness, Dottie's Coffee Lounge, Jacob's Pillow Dance, and Word X Word. 
 
Sohn Fine Art is collaborating with the Lichtenstein Center for the Arts to present 10 Spot: Photography featuring 10 photographers. There truly is something for everyone. See below for a day-by-day schedule. View The Full Schedule!

In collaboration with the Berkshire Historical Society (BHS), the Berkshire Athenaeum presents 10 historic perspectives of Pittsfield through photographs in the BHS and Athenaeum collection. Open during Library hours: Mon. - Thu. 9 a.m. - 9 p.m.; Fri. 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. & Sat. 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
 


10 Spot: Photography at The Lichtenstein 
 
This art exhibit features 10 photographs by 10 artists at two galleries. On view until Feb. 25 at the Lichtenstein Center for the Arts. (Hours are Tue. - Sat. from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.) Also on view at Sohn Fine Art Gallery in Lenox until March 30.
 
Opening Reception: Thursday, Feb. 16 from 5-7 p.m.

The 6th annual 10×10 New Play Festival at Barrington Stage's St. Germain Stage features ten 10-minute plays by 10 playwrights, all performed by an ensemble of six actors. Every 10 minutes, a new play begins! (Thursdays - Saturdays at 7:30 p.m., plus Saturdays & Sundays at 3 p.m.)
 


BIFF Best of Short Films at The Beacon 

Berkshire International Film Festival (BIFF) presents a fantastic array of some of the best short films from its annual festival. Beacon Cinema at 57 North Street. 8 p.m.

New experiences include an early childhood center in LAB 102, dramatic forest play in Berkshire Backyard, and a Tinker Lab in the Feigenbaum Hall of Innovation. Included with regular Museum admission. 11 a.m. - 3 p.m.
 
FREE Community Play Night: Friday, Feb. 17 from 5:30-7:30 p.m.
 


10x10 Chairity Auction at Dottie's 
 
Dottie's Coffee Lounge invited local artists to use their creative genius and recycle chairs no longer being used at the Lounge. The only instruction was to take the chairs and bring them back in another form. The creations will be on exhibit during the 10×10, and you can bid on them during a silent auction that will end on March 3 with a closing party. All proceeds go to the Pittsfield Education Foundation.
 
Artist's Reception: February 17 from 7-10 p.m.

Join Berkshire Running Center, located at 34 Depot Street, for a group run from any distance from 1 mile to 10 miles. All levels are welcome. 8 a.m. - 10 a.m.

Artists from the Berkshires and beyond have contributed 10×10 inch original artworks to be auctioned off for $25 each. The Preview Party begins at 6 p.m. and the auction starts at 7 p.m. To guarantee a piece of art, purchase an ARTtix at the Berkshire Museum before the event. Tickets are on sale now through the night of the 10x10 RAP (or until tickets sell out).

Dance for Social Justice at Boys & Girls Club

Danza Orgánica, a Boston-based contemporary dance theater company directed by choreographer Marsha Parrilla, leads a Dance for Social Justice Movement Workshop (for youth, teens and adults; all levels, space is limited) followed by a lecture/demonstration performance. 4-7 p.m.

Play miniature golf INSIDE the library! A 10-hole golf course, complete with hazards, will be set up as a benefit for Literacy Volunteers of Berkshire County. 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Winter fireworks return at the First Street Common for a third straight year, thanks to sponsor Greylock Federal Credit Union. Fireworks will begin at dusk (around 5:45 p.m). Free parking is available across the street at the City Parking Lot. 


Women's Invitational Poetry Slam at The Whit 

The WordXWord Festival presents a competition where poets will read or recite original work. These performances are usually judged by selected members of the audience or by a panel of judges. Enjoy cabaret-style seating with a cash bar at The Whitney Center for the Arts. 7 p.m.

10 Flavors of Jazz at Flavours Restaurant 

Berkshires Jazz presents The Matt DeChamplain Trio, featuring vocalist Atla DeChamplain, performing 10 styles of jazz at Flavours of Malaysia, located on McKay Street. The musical menu includes New Orleans/traditional; swing; Brazilian/bossa nova; stride; Kansas City/blues; west coast/cool; and even contemporary. $25 in advance, $30 at the door. Dinner available separately at 7:30 p.m. Show begins at 8 p.m.


10x10 Upstreet Comedy Show at Dottie's 

Dottie's Coffee Lounge welcomes headliner Mike Lebovitz (NBC's "Last Comic Standing," the Just For Laughs Festival) along with Berkshire County comedians. Ragliacci Rags will serenade you during dinner, which begins at 6:30 p.m. The show starts at 8 p.m. $10 in advance/$15 at the door.

Ten exciting Berkshire dance groups showcase their talents. Performers include: Albany Berkshire Ballet; All Berkshire Dance Competition; Cantarella Dance Academy; DysFUNKcrew; Funk Box Dance Studio; Olga Dunn School of Dance & Dance Company; Terpsichore Dance Center; Breffny Irish Dancers from Terpsichore and Youth Alive. 3 p.m.
