The Pittsfield Heat 16-and-under AAU basketball team has won two tournaments recently, taking home first place in the Mass Hoops Jaguars Spring Classic June 5 in Amherst against teams from Boston, Springfield, and Southern Connecticut, and the Adirondack Hoops Spring Classic in Albany against teams from Albany, Schenectady, Boston and the Hudson Valley.

 

This brings the team’s spring record to 15-4 with three first place finishes, one second and one third in five tournaments.

 

The team includes Gage Williams, Javi Osorio, Nick ‘Truck’ Sayers, Odin Williams, Amin Purry, Sam Higuera, Collin Frinks, Quincy Davi, Josh Tayi, Dylan Thompson and Robert McCowan. It is coached by Dave Williams and Vince Higuera.
