WESTFIELD, Mass. -- Patrick Rindfuss allowed two hits in four innings of work to lead the Pittsfield Babe Ruth 13-year-old all-stars to a 12-0 win over Westfield at the Western Massachusetts Tournament.

 

Rindfuss struck out two to earn the win. Luke Mele allowed one hit in the fifth inning, finishing up a game ended by the 10-run “mercy” rule.

 

Rindfuss and Mele each had hits in a potent Pittsfield offense.

 

Kaden Codey drove in a pair of runs. Owen Kroboth, Nick Hall and Sam Sherman each drove in a run.

 

Pittsfield plays Blackstone Valley on Monday at 5 p.m. at Bullens Field.

 

The second half of Monday’s double-header sees the Pittsfield 14-year-olds taking on Blackstone Valley at about 7:30.
