WESTFIELD, Mass. -- Kieran Coscia and Jared Jansen combined on a one-hitter Monday as the Pittsfield Babe Ruth 13-year-old all-stars defeated Blackstone Valley, 11-1, in the Western Massachusetts tournament.

 

Luke Mele, Nick Hall and Kaden Codey each had two hits and two RBIs in a game shortened to five innings by the 10-run rule.

 

Shane Bernardo had a double and drove in a pair of runs, and Jonathan Monahan and Owen Kroboth each had a single and a double.

 

Pittsfield Wednesday returns to Bullens Field to face the winner of Tuesday’s Blackstone Valley vs. Westfield game in the Western Mass final.
