SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. -- Recent Pittsfield High graduate Kevin Quinto carded a 5-over 76 on Wednesday to finish tied for 32nd at the 99th annual Massachusetts Junior Amateur Golf Championship at the Orchards Golf Club.

 

Quinto finished the three-round event as one of seven players tied at 16-over.

 

On Wednesday, he earned a pair of birdies, on the 151-yard, par-3 10th hole and the 449-yard, par-5 16th. He birdied the 16th in all three rounds of the competition.

 

The championship was claimed by Dillon Brown of the Country Club of Halifax, who was 4-under on Wednesday and finished at 8-under for the tournament.
