WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Bobby Casey scored 15 points, and James Heskett added 15 Saturday to lead the Williams College men's basketball team to a 68-51 qin over Springfield.

 

Taconic graduate and Springfield freshman Deonte Sandifer came off the bench to play 16 minutes for the Pride, sinking one basket and grabbing three rebounds.

 

Williams (8-1) is off until it goes to California on Dec. 29 to face Hamline.

 

Women's Basketball

MIDDLETON, Conn. -- Wesleyan Saturday neared a 74-65 win over Williams in overtime.

 

Kristin Fechtelkotter led the Ephs with 22 points and 12 rebounds, and Amanni Fernandez and Maggie Meehan each scored 12.

 

Williams (6-3) goes to Florida to face DePauw on Dec. 20.
