In celebration of the holiday season, the City of Pittsfield will offer FREE parking throughout the city from now through Friday, Dec. 22, and on Christmas and New Year's days.
As always, parking in the city is free in the evenings and on weekends. Please note that during the week of free parking, timed parking is still in effect and will be monitored. Overnight parking restrictions are in effect now through March 31. Parking is prohibited on any city street, sidewalk or tree-line between the hours of 11 p.m. and 7 a.m. so that streets may be properly plowed and sanded. If a snow emergency is declared, vehicles may park in the 3-hour-only public parking spaces at the Columbus St. garage and on the 4th floor of the McKay St. garage between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m.
For more information, please call Roberta McCulloch-Dews, Director of Administrative Services, Mayor's Office, at (413) 499-9322.
