DALTON, Mass. — Kendra Richards, a senior at Wahconah Regional High School, was presented with the S.A.Y. It Proud (Supporting and Acknowledging Youth) award at a special ceremony held by the Ambassadors, a student leadership group that strives to implement positive, supportive programs for students at Wahconah, on Jan. 25.
School adjustment counselor Donna Therrien nominated Richards for her outstanding involvement in community and school activities.
Established by Berkshire United Way's Pittsfield Prevention Partnership in 2012, the important work of recognizing the achievements of Berkshire County middle and high school students with S.A.Y. It Proud awards will continue through the organization’s Positive Youth Development Impact Council.
