NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- Rylynn Witek and Kaylee Winn Sunday led the Adams girls basketball team to a 49-43 win over the Boys and Girls Club in the championship game of the seventh- and eighth-grade North Division Berkshire County tournament at McCann Tech.

Winn scored 16, and Witek added 13 as Adams pulled away late in a back-and-forth battle.

Winn did most of her damage from outside, hitting four 3-pointers.

Both came up big in the decisive fourth quarters, accounting for 12 of Adams' 17 points between them in the frame, which started with their team clinging to a 32-31 lead.

Ciany Conyers (11 points) gave the Boys and Girls Club a 33-32 lead at the start of the fourth quarter when she stole the ball in the back court and went the other way for a transition basket.

She later scored in transition to give B&G Club a 35-33 lead with about 6 minutes, 15 seconds to go.

It was 39-38 for the Pittsfield squad after Randi Duquette (eight points) hit a 3-pointer from the top of the key with about four minutes to play.

But Witek got to the line and ied it. And with about 2:30 on the clock, Averie McGrath sank a 3-pointer to give Adams a 42-39 lead it never relinquished.

It took the game's biggest lead at 49-41 when Winn converted a pair of free throws with 56 ticks left.

Ahliya Phillips led the Boys & Girls Club with 15 points.
