NEXT THURSDAY, June 21 is 3rd Thursday!
June's 3rd Thursday celebrates health and fitness with the 9th running of the Green Mile Road Race, plus Tamarack Hollow Nature Preserve; Berkshire Yoga, Dance & Fitness; and Berkshire Salsa. Berkshire Concert Choir will be performing at The Lichtenstein, and the Jacob's Pillow Dance Zone welcomes the U.S. debut of Scottish company Janis Claxton Dance with POP-UP Duets (fragments of love).

WELLNESS

Berkshire Athenaeum kicks off its Library in the Wilderness program with a hike of The Boulders from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Explore 3 miles of beautiful woods and learn about the new initiative of BNRC and the library. The program allows library cardholders to check out backpacks equipped with field guides, BNRC trail guides, a basic first aid kit, a compass, a magnifying glass, bug spray, and two ponchos, just as they would a library book. The backpacks are available for a 1-week checkout and reservations are required. There will be backpacks on site and participants can experiment with all of the fun contents!

PERFORMANCE

This musical comedy is a masterful love letter to the Great White Way. Set in the 1920s and loosely based on the legendary Barrymores, it centers around a family of actors: an aging grande dame, a Broadway star looking for love, a self-centered boozy leading man, and a promising ingénue - each having to make pivotal choices in their lives. Barrington Stage Company's Boyd-Quinson Mainstage through July 7.

FRI-MON Mary and the Witch's Flower at The Little Cinema
Young Mary follows a mysterious cat into the nearby forest and discovers an old broomstick and the strange Fly-by-Night flower, a rare plant that blossoms once every seven years. Together, they whisk Mary far away to Endor College - a school of magic run by headmistress Madam Mumblechook and the brilliant Doctor Dee. But there are terrible things happening at the school, and when Mary tells a lie, she must risk her life to try and set things right.

What's Showing at The Licht
Pittsfield's city-owned community arts center, the Lichtenstein Center for the Arts, features nine working artist studios, a ceramics studio, a community room and an art gallery with changing exhibitions, classes, performances and more!

The Lichtenstein Center for the Arts will host BCC's Berkshire Immigrant Stories exhibit for the month of June. BIS is a grant-funded program at Berkshire Community College that collects and shares stories of immigrants in the Berkshires through a website hosted by the Tenement Museum in Manhattan.
 
Berkshire Immigrant Stories highlights immigration and migration stories of the past and present. Each story reveals one person's family experience. Collectively, the stories tell America's story and highlight the patterns that bind us together, no matter where we came from or how long we've been there. Read about the reasons why people came here and learn more about the objects they have chosen to tell their personal history.
