PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Evan Blake hit a pair of home runs and Cam Sime struck out six to lead the Pittsfield American League All-Stars to an 11-1 win over Dalton-Hinsdale on Tuesday in the Don Gleason District 1 12-year-old Little League Championship at Deming Park.
Pittsfield advances out of the winner's bracket to Thursday's championship round, where it will face the winner of Wednesday's 5:30 losers' bracket finale between Great Barrington and Dalton-Hinsdale.
Blake had three hits in the win, driving in three runs and scoring three times.
Nick Brindle and Jack Duquette each had a pair of hits, and Owen Salvatore singled in a pair of runs.
Dalton-Hinsdale scored its run on a wild pitch after the runner reached on an error.
Sime and reliever Antonio Scalise combined on a three-hitter in a game that was called after five innings because of the mercy rule.
