PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- The Agawam 9- to 11-year-old Little League team scored six runs in the fourth inning to earn a 6-3 win over the Pittsfield American League on Wednesday in the Section 1 tournament.

 

With the win, Agawam stayed alive in double-elimination tournament and earned the right to host Pittsfield on Thursday in a winner-take-all sectional title game.

 

Simon Mele went 2-for-4 with a double and scored a run, and Jack Abel and Jason Codey each scored a run for the Americans.
