NORWALK, Conn. -- Trumbull, Conn., took advantage of defensive miscues Friday morning to earn a 10-0, five-inning win over Pittsfield at the Babe Ruth Baseball 14-year-old New England Regionals.

"It wasn't our best game," Pittsfield coach Bryon Sherman said. "Actually, we only had two bad innings. They scored four in the third and six in the fourth. Between those two innings, we had six errors, which is uncharacteristic for our group."

Patrick Rindfuss and Shane Bernardo split time on the mound for Pittsfield, which got singles from Michael Grady, Michael Britten and Shane Zuccolo.

"It was not pleasant game this morning, but we expect to be back, ready to roll [Saturday morning] against Keene, N.H.," Sherman said.
