WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Aspen Pierson scored in the 55th minute to lead the Williams College women’s soccer team to a 1-0 win over Middlebury Tuesday as the Ephs completed an unbeaten regular season.
Olivia Barnhill made five saves to earn the shutout in goal.
The Ephs (13-0-2, 9-0-1 NESCAC) handed the Panthers their first loss of the season and earned the right to host throughout the NESCAC tournament.
Men’s Soccer
WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Ben Potter scored in the 13th minute, and Middlebury went on for a 2-0 win over Williams.
Williams finishes its regular season 8-5-2 and 4-4-2 in the NESCAC and will be on the road in the conference quarter-finals.
Field Hockey
WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Emma Ticknor had a hat trick and Williams finished its regular season with a 4-2 win over Middlebury.
Libby Dolan score a goal, and Claire Fitzpatrick had a pair of assists for the Ephs, who got seven saves from the goalkeeping tandem of Abby Lloyd and Emma Santucci.
Williams (11-4, 7-3) will be home in the first round of the NESCAC tournament on Saturday.
