The 10x10 Upstreet Arts Festival takes place Thursday, Feb. 14 - Sunday, Feb. 24 and features music, art, theater, dance, film and more. There is something for the entire family, from Barrington Stage's 10x10 New Play Festival and live jazz at The Whitney, to 10 Days of Play at the Berkshire Museum and a fireworks extravaganza on the Pittsfield Common.

Berkshire Theatre Group presents the all-woman quartet Lez Zeppelin, who have gained critical acclaim as one of the most exciting live acts around, becoming the first female rock act to pay homage to Led Zeppelin. One-man-band Jack Waldheim will warm up the crowd in The Garage at 6:30 p.m. The show begins at 7:30 p.m. $25. |

The Love Yourself art exhibit opening will be a day of art, music, dance, poetry, film and story to raise awareness about youth suicide prevention in Berkshire County. Enjoy performances from Berkshire Pulse, Grace Ida Marks and members of the BTG Kids Chorus. Students from AIRY (Arts in Recovery for Youth) will share poetry and stories and a documentary film by Raymond Brown will be shown. FREE. 2-5 p.m.

Don't hide from the winter - come out and stay in touch with your running friends! Berkshire Running Center presents the second in a 4-part series of Frosted Mug 5K races. For this race, J. Allen's Clubhouse will provided a buffet from noon to 1 p.m. for the runners, included in your race registration fee! Run your race at 11 a.m. and stay to catch up with the running community. One Boston Beer Company adult beverage for runners 21+ is also included! Registration fee per race is $30, or $35 day-of-race registration.

Town Players of Pittsfield presents Gay Monteverde's smart, sexy romantic comedy for people over 60. Based loosely (and lovingly) on Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice, the play is set in a small, hip bookstore where Liz, the 65-year-old proprietor (and former activist), hosts a weekly book group for women. While her adult son designs websites and his annoying wife hosts a weekly food blog, Liz and her colorful friends meet to discuss life and literature. This East Coast premiere is directed by the author's son, John Monteverde. BCC's Boland Theatre.

New Moon Gifts presents a workshop that will offer gentle guidance in the creation of a heart mandala ornament/hanger. This is an intermediate level class and basic brush skills are helpful but not necessary. April Jenks will guide the class in the usage of a variety of tools and acrylic paints to help you create a unique piece. Simple history facts and the symbolic influence of mandalas will be touched upon. 5-6:15 p.m. $30.

In the Latino culture, Three Kings Day is an event that celebrates the coming of the Three Kings to the Christ child. The "I Have a Dream" Four Kings Event also will promote the values of love and equity of the Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. Berkshire Salsa invites everyone to celebrate with dancing, poetry, music, Puerto Rican food, gifts for children and more! $10 by donation for food. No one will be turned away! All proceeds benefit the programs of Hopeseed Empowerment Co-op and Manos Unidas. 4-7 p.m.

Pittsfield's city-owned community arts center, Lichtenstein Center for the Arts, features nine working artist studios, a ceramics studio, a community room and an art gallery with changing exhibitions, classes, performances and more!
As part of the 8th Annual 10×10 Upstreet Arts Festival, the gallery will feature The Ten Spot Photography Show, an invitational exhibit featuring ten photographers from the Berkshires and beyond. An artists' reception will be held Thursday, Feb. 14 from 5-7 p.m., which is the official kickoff of the 10×10 Upstreet Arts Festival.
