The 10x10 Upstreet Arts Festival takes place Thursday, Feb. 14 - Sunday, Feb. 24 and features music, art, theater, dance, film and more. There is something for the entire family, from Barrington Stage's 10x10 New Play Festival and live jazz at The Whitney, to 10 Days of Play at the Berkshire Museum and a fireworks extravaganza on the Pittsfield Common.

The Tyler Street Lab @ 730 is a 4-month pop-up that creates a community space out of an underutilized storefront. The city's Office of Cultural Development, in collaboration with the Transformative Development Initiative (TDI), is putting out two calls for art: a storefront configuration challenge and a community art installation challenge. There will be a stipend of up to $850 to the award-winning designs - one from each challenge. Please submit all materials to tylerstreetlabpitt@gmail.com by Monday, Feb. 25 at 5 p.m.! |
The 10x10 Real Art Party (RAP) is your chance to take home a piece of art while supporting the Berkshire Art Association! Artists from the Berkshires and beyond have contributed 10x10 inch original works to be auctioned off for $25 each. The Preview Party begins at 6 p.m. and the auction starts at 7 p.m. To guarantee a piece of art, purchase an ARTtix at the Berkshire Museum. Tickets are on sale now through the night of the party (or until they sell out). |

Berkshire Museum kicks off its 10 Days of Play, a part of the 10x10 Upstreet Arts Festival, with a FREE Community Night from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Build towering structures in the Crane Room, break and make in the Tinker Lab, learn about animals in the early learners' space, and get hands-on in the new exhibit Leonardo da Vinci: Machines in Motion.

Radiance Yoga presents a day of yoga, massage lessons, deep relaxation and chocolate. Bring your honey, friend or family member and express loving care through yoga and massage. Gillian and Karden will guide you and yours through partner yoga poses and Thai massage moves that are both fun and deeply relaxing. 2-4 p.m. $50 per couple pre-registration. $60 per couple walk-in if not sold out beforehand.

The 7th annual 10x10 New Play Festival at Barrington Stage's St. Germain Stage features ten 10-minute plays by 10 playwrights, all performed by an ensemble of six actors. Every 10 minutes, a new play begins! (Thursdays - Saturdays at 7:30 p.m., plus Saturdays & Sundays at 3 p.m.)

Township Four presents its first structured floral design class. Learn about floral materials and techniques while creating a boutonniere, classic wrist corsage, hand-tied European bouquet, small floral hairpiece, and small table centerpiece. No floral handling experience is necessary. 1-4 p.m. $150 plus tax.

As part of the 10x10 Upstreet Arts Festival, Jacob's Pillow presents a FREE pop-up event at the Boys & Girls Club. The Hartford-based all-styles dance collective 860 MVMNT brings the raw, intense energy of street dance to the stage, versed in hip-hop, house, b-boying and voguing. This family-friendly performance ends with an open cypher and dance party! 6 p.m.

For the 14th consecutive year, Shorts HD and Magnolia Pictures present the Oscar-nominated short films, with all three categories offered: documentary, animation, and live action. This is your annual chance to predict the winners!

Pittsfield's city-owned community arts center, Lichtenstein Center for the Arts, features nine working artist studios, a ceramics studio, a community room and an art gallery with changing exhibitions, classes, performances and more!
As part of the 8th Annual 10×10 Upstreet Arts Festival, the gallery will feature The Ten Spot Photography Show, an invitational exhibit featuring ten photographers from the Berkshires and beyond.
