The 10x10 Upstreet Arts Festival runs until Sunday, Feb. 24 and features music, art, theater, dance and more. There is something for the entire family, from Barrington Stage's 10x10 New Play Festival and live jazz at The Whitney, to 10 Days of Play at the Berkshire Museum and a fireworks extravaganza on the Pittsfield Common.

The Tyler Street Lab @ 730 is a 4-month pop-up that creates a community space out of an underutilized storefront. The city's Office of Cultural Development, in collaboration with the Transformative Development Initiative (TDI), is putting out two calls for art: a storefront configuration challenge and a community art installation challenge. There will be a stipend of up to $850 to the award-winning designs - one from each challenge. Please submit all materials to tylerstreetlabpitt@gmail.com by Monday, Feb. 25 at 5 p.m.! |
Rev Tor's 8th Annual Dead of Winter Jam celebrates the music of The Grateful Dead with Rev Tor's Steal Your Peach Band, Tom Corrigan, Mike Wood of Rebel Alliance, Mark Kurber of Dead Collective and Rob Sanzone and Chris Merenda of The Picky Bastards. Patrons are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items to be donated to a local food pantry. 8 p.m. $10. |

The show must go on in this new hip-hop musical! That's what Jack and Annie learn when the Magic Tree House whisks them back to Elizabethan England. There they meet William Shakespeare, who's having a hard time with some of the actors in his latest show. Are Jack and Annie ready to make a big entrance? Or, will it be curtains for Shakespeare? The Colonial Theatre, 2 p.m. $10.

The 7th annual 10x10 New Play Festival at Barrington Stage's St. Germain Stage features ten 10-minute plays by 10 playwrights, all performed by an ensemble of six actors. Every 10 minutes, a new play begins! (Thursdays - Saturdays at 7:30 p.m., plus Saturdays & Sundays at 3 p.m.)

Berkshire Community College hosts internationally renowned wildlife tracker and photographer Sue Morse, who will discuss the ways in which northern wildlife species are already being affected by climate change, with more serious challenges ahead.Canada lynx, moose, American marten, caribou, polar bear, arctic fox and arctic marine mammals and waterfowl are some of the species covered in this stunningly beautiful show. 7 p.m.

Pittsfield's city-owned community arts center, Lichtenstein Center for the Arts, features nine working artist studios, a ceramics studio, a community room and an art gallery with changing exhibitions, classes, performances and more!
As part of the 8th Annual 10×10 Upstreet Arts Festival, the gallery will feature The Ten Spot Photography Show, an invitational exhibit featuring ten photographers from the Berkshires and beyond.
The closing reception will take place on March 1, during First Fridays Artswalk.
